THE PRAYER MINISTRY

THE TOWER OF ICC  HABAKKUK 2 : 1 – 3; Jeremiah 33:3; 2 Chronicles 7 : 12 – 16.

What is Prayer

  • Prayer is going to God, acknowledging Him as God, acknowledging Him as your source of strength, acknowledging Him as your source of protection and provision. We go to Him with issues that are above us, issues that frightens us, issues that threatens our well being, issues that confuses us, issues that seems to be a hindrance to our destiny.  We ask God for divine intervention to help us overcome our challenges,  and for strength to progress in life.  Jeremiah 33:3.
  • Prayer is entering into God’s presence with a contrite heart, a broken spirit, Confessing your Sins, asking God for forgiveness, thanking God for the gift of life, with praises and Worship on our lips, bring a petition before God, supplications and Intercessory prayer from the hearts,  pouring it before the Almighty God for help. Psalm 51:17;  Psalm 121 : 1 – 8
  • Prayer is calling on God to help you do the right thing, seek direction for the next step to take in life Proverbs 3:5-8, ask for insight, understanding, guidance, for your life and your calling, seek God’s divine intervention in the things that challenges you in life. Psalm 27 : 1 – 5
  • Prayer is going to God, telling Him of your WEAKNESSES, SHORTCOMINGS, LIMITATIONS, FEARS, DOUBTS, and the CHALLENGES that confronts you. Acknowledge Him as the only one that can help you overcome. John 10 : 10;  1 Chronicles 4 : 9 – 10
  • Prayer is going to God to show your appreciation for His love, peace, health and blessings on your life. Psalm 103 : 1 – 5

 A CALL TO PRAYER

God is calling His people the prayer mountain, where He will open our eyes to see afar, of the things He wants to do through us, strategies and steps to take to get it done. 2 Chronicles 7:12–22; Jeremiah 33 :2–3;  I Chronicles 4:9–10;  Job 5:6-17; Matt. 7:7 – 12;   Luke 18 : 1 – 8

7 Reasons why I should pray

  1. Because of my Limitations, shortcomings, and weaknesses. 1 John 1 : 7- 10; Romans 7 : 15 – 25
  2. Because I want to be quickened, strengthened, and empowered to overcome life challenges. Eph. 2: 1-5
  3. Because I want to develop my inner man spiritually, to hear the voice of God, to see the direction He is leading me and develop the heart to trust Him. I Samuel 3:1-10;  Romans 8: 1– 14
  4. Because of my enemies, (physically and spiritually) Matt. 13 : 24 – 30
  5. Because prayer moves issues that humans have no control over, it changes situations, it breaks grounds, it hinders attacks and open avenues for breakthroughs.                           Mark. 11 : 22 – 24
  6. Because of the spiritual and physical warfare. Ephesians 6 : 10 – 18
  7. Because I want to draw closer to God and understand His ways. Isaiah 55 : 8 – 9; 2 Chronicles 7: 12 – 16
