Gathering in Grace: A Community Celebration of Faith and Fellowship

The Beauty of Togetherness
The day began with a simple prayer of gratitude, setting the tone for an afternoon dedicated to connection. In a world that often feels fragmented and digital, the “Gathering in Grace” was a reminder of the power of physical presence. From the laughter echoing across the lawn to the quiet conversations shared over coffee, the air was thick with the spirit of Koinonia—the Greek word for Christian fellowship and communion.
A Feast for the Soul (and the Table)
We believe that breaking bread is one of the most sacred acts a community can perform. Our potluck tables were a mosaic of our congregation’s diversity—generous portions of family recipes passed down through generations. But more than the food, it was the “spiritual feast” that filled us.
During the afternoon, we shared “Grace Moments”—short, informal stories from members of our community about how they’ve seen God moving in their lives this year. These testimonies reminded us that while our journeys are individual, our destination is shared.

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” — Matthew 18:20

Faith in Action
The celebration also looked outward. Our “Giving Tree” station was a hive of activity, as families put together care packages for our local shelters. It was a beautiful sight to see children learning the joy of giving firsthand, realizing that our grace isn’t meant to be stored up, but poured out.
Looking Forward
As the sun began to set and we closed with a song of praise, one thing was clear: we are stronger together. This celebration wasn’t just a one-day event; it was a refueling station for the mission ahead.
We walk away from “Gathering in Grace” with our hearts full and our purpose renewed. Whether you were able to join us this time or missed out, know that there is always a seat at our table and a place for you in this community.
